On July 22, 2004, the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (a bi-partisan Congressional body) issued its Final Report on the events of September 11, 2001. This document of over 500 pages is posted on the internet. It has been presented as the "unanimous conclusion" of the Commission members on what happened on that day and on the reasons for the failure to prevent the attacks. The Commission exonerates American public officials from any blame for such failure. . . (more)
