Search on for survivors after chopper crash
Not exactly a search ... they cannot get into the area. The reason the area is loaded up with weapons provided by the CIA. Here's a shopping list of arms the CIA bought the Taliban - back in the day when we gave them orders:
Are these so-called improvised explosives so improvised? Or are a bunch of them land mines etc. supplied by the US & Russia in the millions? Just a question.

Not exactly a search ... they cannot get into the area. The reason the area is loaded up with weapons provided by the CIA. Here's a shopping list of arms the CIA bought the Taliban - back in the day when we gave them orders:
- Anti-personnel mines (Soviet made): an estimated 13 million still scattered around the country
- Intelligence experts believe that the ammunition depot at Shin-naray, which the Taliban probably seized in 1994, is at least partly operational. Weapons held there in 1994 included a reported 400 Stinger missiles — many of which may have been transferred to Pakistan — and 15,000 truckloads of ammunition.
- etc. etc.
